Merry Christmas to everyone in Christmastown!
May you receive many gifts from the Fearsome King, dressed in red! Maybe a head from the lake? Stay safe and eat lots, drink lots! No driving tho. HoHaHAHAHA

My favorite scene, the townhall meeting.

Kensington Market Festival of Lights 2006

Every year, Toronto celebrates Winter Solstice, the longest, darkest night holding the Kensington Market Festival of Lights. “A cavalcade of costumed characters, giant puppets, stiltwalkers, and firebreathers in a luminescent lantern-lit carnival parade” filled the narrow streets.
The storefronts and rooftops had theatrics for all to watch, including a group of kids, members of the Green Army of the Environment geared up to battle against the Smog Army of Pollution.
The night ended at Bellevue Square Park, with firebreathers around a 12 foot bonfire lit aflame, dancing to the beats of a drum squad and the horns of a 20 piece jazz band.

On my travel through Europe this past fall (pics here), I had my Canon S45 point & shoot cam with me everywhere I went. It was a sturdy little camera. It worked beautifully on the trip and for the last 4 years, and I plan to use it for many more. However, I realized it had a few shortcomings. I needed something that was fast and that had the ability to focus on the subject I wanted at all times. I knew I needed a SLR, I needed power! My search ended with a tossup between the Canon EOS 350D and the Olympus Evolt E-500. My buddy Gaston recently bought the E-300 and I was convinced to go Olympus. Pics to come soon.

120 Days “Come Out (Come Down, Fade Out, Be Gone)”
Good stuff coming out of the Scandinavian north. Check out this band from Norway, 120 Days, on their self-titled debut album on Vice Records. More at myspace.com/120days
120 Days perform “Come Out (Come Down, Fade Out, Be Gone)” at the FADER house at 88 Delancey, NYC during CMJ. 11/2/06.
Also, while doing a little research into the band, I fell upon some interesting stuff about the origins of their band name, from the 18th century French book 120 Days of Sodom
